The following extra programmes are provided by Otari School.
The School Choir
The Choir may perform for assemblies, the ArtSplash combined choir, the end of year Picnic in the Park at Wadestown and for end of year celebrations and concerts. Otherwise, this is an opportunity for children to enjoy singing and to develop musical ability and knowledge.
Otari School is an Enviroschool. As well as being integrated through the learning areas the school provides for gardening, with a flourishing school garden. In 2014 the school achieved Bronze status and are now working towards silver.
Syndicate wide activities
Each syndicate has various activities that they take part in throughout the year such as Kapa Haka, singing or sports. These activities change based on the season and school year. As well as enhancing skill development these activities help foster whanaungatanga between students from the three strands.
The school also provides a place for third party providers to offer a range of lessons and activities including Keyboard and Guitar.
